His research lies in the broad fields of Robotics, more specifically in the design and control for a wide range of specialized robots such as high-DOFs humanoids. Recently, he has been interested in improving autonomous robots’ capabilities, especially manipulation functionality on mobile platforms.
He has participated in several successful collaborative projects and research-based robot competitions including: DARPA Robotics Challenge Trials (2013) and Finals (2015), Shipboard Autonomous Fire-Fighting Robot, Dynamic Anthropomorphic Robot with Intelligence, and RoboCup, the international autonomous robot soccer competition where his team won First Place in both the Adult-size Humanoid divisions (2015, 2016) and brought the Louis Vuitton Cup Best Humanoid Award (2016). After joining KNU, he has still participated many hot topic researches in Defense, Industry, and Academia Level.
